Pool Service in San Tan Valley, AZ

Arizona Aqua Pools offers pool service in San Tan Valley, in Pinal County south of our Gilbert base. We clean pools every week and repair the equipment behind them. San Tan Valley's water is all groundwater and very hard, and that drives most of what we watch for here.

Pool Service in San Tan Valley, Visit by Visit

A weekly pool service visit here follows a set routine. We clear the surface, brush the walls and tile line, vacuum the floor and empty the baskets. Then we test the water, dose what it needs and check the pump, filter and any salt system.

When a part fails, our pool repair work gets the pump, filter, heater or salt cell going again. You'll get a price before the work starts.

San Tan Valley Runs on Groundwater Alone

EPCOR's 2025 water quality report for its San Tan system says groundwater is the sole source. That system serves about 31,000 connections. EPCOR also publishes a separate report for its San Tan Anthem system, so check your bill to see which one serves you.

One source has an upside. Your fill water doesn't swap between river water and well water from season to season. The downside is that well water here carries a heavy mineral load, as the next section shows.

15 to 18 Grains: Very Hard Water in San Tan Valley

The same EPCOR report says hardness on the San Tan system ranges from 15 to 18 grains per gallon. On EPCOR's own scale, anything over 10.5 grains is very hard. San Tan Valley's water clears that mark easily.

For a pool, that means calcium from day one. Every inch of water lost to evaporation leaves its minerals behind, and every top-off adds more. Scale shows up first at the tile line and inside the salt cell. We keep pH and alkalinity where calcium stays dissolved and check the cell during our visits.

San Tan Valley Homes and Its New Town Status

Half of San Tan Valley's homes were built in 2007 or later, going by the Census Bureau's 2020 to 2024 survey. Owners live in about 82 percent of them. A pool from those years may be on its first round of equipment, and pumps and heaters don't last forever.

San Tan Valley is also a brand new town. Voters approved incorporation on August 5, 2025. The town took over services from Pinal County on July 1, 2026. If you're planning pool work that needs a permit, ask the town which rules now apply.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my San Tan Valley pool scale up so quickly?

Your tap water starts at 15 to 18 grains of hardness, according to EPCOR. Evaporation concentrates it. Weekly balancing helps keep that calcium in the water and off your tile.

Is my San Tan Valley pool too old for repairs to be worth it?

Usually not. Many pumps, filters and heaters can be repaired. We'll tell you what we find and what each option costs.

Who sets the pool rules in San Tan Valley now?

The Town of San Tan Valley took over services from Pinal County on July 1, 2026. Check with the town about permits for new pool work.
