Pools on our route

Pool Pump Repair
The pump moves the water through the filter and back into the pool. When it stops, the water stops getting cleaned. In summer heat, a pool without a working pump can start to turn green quickly.
A few signs point to a pump problem. It might hum but not start, or run loud with a grinding or screeching sound. You might see water dripping around the pump, air bubbles in the pump basket, or weak flow coming back into the pool. A breaker that keeps tripping is another clue.
Sometimes the fix is a part, like a seal or a worn piece inside the motor. Other times the pump is worn out, and replacing it makes more sense than repairing it. If that's where things land, our equipment upgrades page explains the options, including variable-speed pumps.
Other Signs Your Pool Needs a Repair
Not every problem is loud. A heater that runs but doesn't warm the water needs a look. So does a salt system that shows an error or stops keeping the chlorine up.
Automation that won't respond, a pool light that stays dark, or a valve that won't turn are all on our list. Drips at the plumbing fittings around the equipment pad are worth fixing early, before a small leak wastes water and wears out nearby parts.
Filter trouble shows up as high pressure on the gauge, cloudy water or a cracked housing. If the pressure stays high after a filter cleaning, something else may be wrong, and we'll track it down.
Why Equipment Wears Out in the Desert
Equipment pads often sit in full sun. Over time, the heat dries out seals, o-rings and plastic parts until they crack or leak. Dust from monsoon storms works its way into motors and covers everything on the pad.
Hard water is part of it too. Calcium builds up inside salt cells and heaters and makes them work harder. Regular care helps. A problem caught during weekly pool cleaning is often still small, and so is the fix.
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you fix my pump, or do I need a new one?
It depends on what failed and how worn the pump is. We'll look at it and tell you what each choice would involve, so you can pick the one that makes sense for you.
Do you repair salt systems?
Yes. We work on salt cells and the systems that run them. Sometimes a cell just needs the calcium cleaned off, and sometimes it's worn out and needs replacing.
My pool light is out. Can you fix it?
Yes, pool lights are on our repair list. We'll check the light and tell you what it needs.
What if my pool turned green while the pump was down?
We'll fix the pump first, since the water can't clear without it. Then a green pool cleanup brings the water back.
